With the Hamilton Beach Bowl Scraper Food Processor, there’s no need to stop and remove the lid to dislodge food from the side of the bowl. The built-in scraper does the work for you, even while the processor is on for continuous processing. Kitchen tips: For a more uniform consistency, start with pieces of food that are similar in size. Cut food into 1-inch (2.5-cm) pieces before processing with the chopping/mixing blade and leave room in the bowl for the food to be tossed around. When chopping foods, pulsing on and off will produce the best results. Operating time will depend on the quantity of food being processed. Most foods can be sliced, chopped, or shredded in seconds. To slice or shred cheese, use firm cheeses like Cheddar or Swiss that have been chilled for at least 30 minutes. Soft cheese like Mozzarella must be placed in the freezer for 30 minutes prior to processing to ensure it is firm enough for shredding. All removable parts are top rack dishwasher safe.

I have used it mostly for shredding cheese. The only issue I had is that after one block of cheese, I have to open the processor and move the shredded cheese to the other side of the container. It will fill up and touch the top of the container but only on the side the cheese goes in. It was not a huge issue, and I loved the processor. The shredder attachment has cracked and can not be used properly to shred anything. I am desperate to find another attachment piece, but can not find it sold separately anywhere. I do not want to buy an entirely new processor for the sake of the attachment.

This food processor is not only just amazing at what it does, in terms of both power and speed, but it also has a key feature that takes it to the next level. It has a black tripod-esque thing in the middle that you can control externally that lets you scrape off any chunks from the walls of the processor. This is a MUST HAVE feature. I honestly don’t know why some other food processors don’t have this.

I love it. Its perfect for me. I wish I had known sooner how great these are. I dont cook much so I didn’t ever buy one. Figured it would be another thing taking up space in my kitchen. I grate cheese with it, smoothies. I am making jam. Easy to take apart to clean. Perfect size for me. The blade is super sharp. Recmnd storing it in the little cardboard circles they ship the blade in. Highly recmn’d. If you are considering it, do it!

I’ve had this for about a year and use it on a regular basis. All of the attachments work amazing and are holding up great. I honestly don’t know how I went so long without one. It makes anything you are using it for an absolute breeze. It makes great coleslaw using the opposite side of the shredder attachment and I’ll never buy shredded cheese again.

Hey there, fellow foodies and kitchen wizards! Mike P. here, back with another review of a kitchen gadget that has absolutely blown my culinary world apart – the Hamilton Beach Food Processor & Vegetable Chopper (70735). Strap yourselves in because this little beast is about to elevate your cooking game to a whole new level!First off, let me say this thing looks slick as can be in that stainless steel finish. It’s like having a shiny piece of culinary art right on my countertop, and it’s become the star of my kitchen show. But looks aside, it’s the functionality that truly matters, and let me tell you, this machine is an absolute powerhouse. With its 10-cup capacity, it tackles slicing, shredding, mincing, and pureeing tasks like a pro. No more wasting precious time on endless chopping and dicing by hand. I can now blitz through mountains of veggies in no time, leaving me with more moments to savor my creations. And oh boy, does it make a mean salsa! The consistency is just right – not too chunky, not too smooth – just perfect. But wait, there’s more! The Veggie Spiralizer attachment is a godsend for health-conscious folks like me. Say hello to guilt-free zoodles and ribbons that make me feel like I’m devouring a feast of flavors without the carb overload. It’s like having a secret weapon to keep my meals exciting and nutritious. Now, let’s talk about the motor power. This bad boy is a workhorse. I thought it would buckle under pressure when I put it through the shredding test with a mountain of carrots, but it handled it like a champ. No whining, no stalling – just pure blending bliss. The pulse feature gives me that extra control when needed, which is great when I want to achieve that perfect texture.Cleanup is a breeze too, which is a big deal for lazy cooks like me. All the parts are dishwasher-safe, and trust me, I’ve put them through the wringer, and they come out shiny and ready for the next culinary adventure. The only tiny drawback I can find is that it might be a bit noisy for some folks, but hey, it’s a small price to pay for the incredible performance this machine delivers. So, if you’re serious about upping your cooking game and adding some pizzazz to your kitchen, the Hamilton Beach Food Processor & Vegetable Chopper is a must-have. I’m giving it five stars, and it deserves every single one of them. Thanks to this culinary wizardry, I’m now the undisputed king of the kitchen!Mike P. signing off, happy cooking, and stay hungry, my friends!

I can’t see any reason to spend more on a food processor. This does everything as advertised. Plenty of power. All the components are easy to assemble and clean up is easy–just do it promptly before things dry up and you’ll have no issues. Very good value for the price.

I’m in a mostly liquid diet, so having a strong and reliable grinder keeps me fed and even happy. I’ve spent large amounts on various grinders (thanks for your return policy, Amazon). Most other grinders cost multiples of this one. But when you get through all the accessories and various complicated controls on the other machines , you have to deal with unreliable settings and especially – with weak motors. This HB is very strong, consistent and kind to operate. After well over a year I just splurged on another Hamilton Beach grinder and kept the original as my backup. I eat its food every single day. This machine keeps me going and I say, thank you Hamilton Beach!

$55…really? I don’t see how this could be this inexpensive. Power…no issue, and I own Cuisinart’s most powerful food processor ever built. While I love it, it’s so hard to clean: Rubber gasket, plunger within plunger, parts that must be in place for the machine to operate…and parts you’ll never use. This Hamilton Beach unit does everything without all the crap. Now I just got this, so this isn’t a long run report. But, if you are going to blend thick stuff that sticks to the wall, this is your best choice. I bought it to make walnut butter. First run I put a bag of walnuts in and ran it. The walnuts plastered the wall. You would have to open any other machine up and scrape it down…many, many times. If you’ve done this before you know it’s a real pain. With one swipe of the bowel scraper the walls were clean. I had to swipe it several times, because nut butter is the gooiest. I just put the nuts in, ran it, and it was done. What a time saver. Imagine opening, scraping, and closing the machine 10 times…
