10 reviews for KEEN Women’s Targhee Vent Mid Height Breathable Hiking Boots

  1. Zafira Daima

These boots are incredibly comfortable. They run wide, but they also run tall across the instep (high volume). A lot of shoes & boots press on the top of my foot and make it hurt, but not these. I’ve found that they have enough room that I can put my orthotic in them on top of the insole that comes with them. This makes them extra cushy, like a running shoe. If you have narrow feet or low volume (height) feet, then these are not the boots for your.

  2. B Carson

Super comfortable, don’t need any breaking in! Nice wide toe box.

  3. Jasycace

Our favorite stomping ground is Big Bend. It will poke you, bite you or poison you so you have to take care. I am a barefoot and flip flop wearing fool but have been trying to find a good pair of proper footwear that I could wear and not feel uncomfortable in. I have a tailor bunion on my left and a bone spur on the top of my right so shoe pressure seems to always have me kicking shoes off.Now to the point – we hiked 12 miles through a thorn infested desert and rocky terrain the first day I wore these shoes. The grip is amazing, they are roomy, I felt zero discomfort, not a single cactus thorn penetrates. And one the mountain hiking, usually my toes hurt when we descend but these held my feet securely and comfortably. Seriously impressed and hands down the best pair I have owned. I ended up hiking 35 miles this trip in these new shoes and I have zero complaints about it.That being said, I took my Bozzly hiking for his birthday today. And Ugh. The dew just seeped right thru and by the time I got back to the house I felt like my socks were sponges and had wrinkled toes. Yuck. Nothing worse than hiking with wet feet.To be fair, they do not claim to be waterproof and I am not marking them for it but feel it is worth noting.

  4. Joan LeMole

I bought this boot for a trip to Iceland. It was comfortable from the very start, looked a bit less clunky than another option, and was quite supportive.

  5. Alayna

Got some blisters on the back of my ankles. But most likely cause I didn’t break them in. Other than that they felt good.

  6. Amazon Customer

Fit great, Keen’s are great support shoes!

  7. ShabbyDaisy

I’ve worn these on 3 rather basic hikes. I noticed that the gray fabric is shedding / peeling, already. Disappointing. I’ve reached out to KEEN for a warranty claim, but am unsure if that will go anywhere. Likely won’t buy this brand again. Somewhat uncomfortable on top of foot where the laces bunch up the tongue fabric. Cute boots, though.

  8. Mscarver

Broke them in on a truly muddy and long hike, my feet stayed dry and clean the entire time. The color isn’t like pictured, a little more like a moss color and tan. I don’t need a wide toe so I have extra room at the end but I imagine anyone who is seeking a wider toe would be happy with these. Other than all that, they are very comfy and seem to be durable! Love keen.

  9. Kitty

Good wide toe box, comfortable, just a couple of glitchesWanted a well-ventilated boot. Fit of boot in general very comfortable except for 2 key features:1. Tongue of shoe is small and keeps moving out of position.2. Sole feels very soft in comparison to earlier versions of Targhee shoes/ bootd and I would be able to feel stones and rocks through it. Needed to return the boot as I knew it would not meet my needs and feared the sole would wear dow too fast for my plans.

  10. CHRISTINE GORDON

Excellent productI have purchased Keen hiking boots and shoes in the past and have never been disappointed
