I looked at a lot of different hiking shoes. First, I looked at the name brands I’ve heard of. The reviews were not encouraging…big swings positive vs negatives. So, I begrudgingly started to look at the lesser known or completely unknown brands. Once I thought about it, I guessed that all of the shoes were likely made in Asia somewhere so, what’s the big deal. I wanted a shoe with ankle support and a rugged sole which this one had. I liked the brown/orange color of this shoe. I waffled between a 5 and a 5.5. I’m usually a 5. I found that the shoe ran true to size but glad I settled on the 5.5 so I could have a little more room if I wanted to add an insert or wear double socks. They are comfortable right out the box. Wearing one sock and no extra insert, they feel fine. They’re not too heavy but are heavier than my Sketchers walking shoes. I predict these will be great on hikes and uneven terrain. Have not tested if they are waterproof/water resistant. These are a very good value at $49.99. So far, I’m very pleased with these shoes.

I bought these for a hiking road trip and cruise to Alaska in September. I didn’t have a chance to break them in prior to hiking, but turns out it wasn’t necessary. These shoes are well made, comfortable, and durable. Water resistant and fairly warm for lightweight shoes. Fit true to size. I hiked varied terrain from beaches to mountains and they performed great!

These boots are very comfortable with boot socks and great for hiking. I love them. They are true to size. I wish they made them in black with a brown trim.

I absolutely love these boots. I expected them to be heavier than they are. Which is a good thing… they are very light weight and plenty of toe room. Perfect AZ hiking boots. They are breathable and not hot at all. Roomy enough to accommodate any swelling of your feet and/or avoid your toes getting scrunched together. I found my new favorite hiking boots. Definitely a 10/10. Only thing is I wish they came in more colors but still a win in my book.

I wear between a 7.5 and an 8 in women’s shoes and have an average to wider foot. I bought the 7.5 and it fit perfectly! I have sufficient room in the toes and ample room in the rest of the shoe for thick wool socks. I wore these right out of the box and hiked over 30 miles with no issues. There was no chaffing or rubbing on any part of my feet or ankles. These shoes are extremely comfortable and I highly recommend them.

Ordered my first pair in the brown and my regular size (81/2). They were too small. Ordered the 9 in this color (gray) and they fit. Love these boots. I did return the brown ones and ordered the 9 and they are fine.

Pros:Fitloose in toes (I like that)My ankle feels supportedI can tighten and loosen the laces easilyIt has laces! (so many shoes do not anymore)Cons:I wish the toe leather area would have come up over the toes on top of the shoe a bit more.It feels a bit big in the foot area overallCushioning is minimal, but okay.I bought this boot for when I am working in the woods helping collect and stack firewood. The boots help me have traction and steady footing as well as protection for my ankle. I do wish my toe was protected a bit more.Overall, I like them and have used them several times now, without issue. I haven’t used them in a wet situation, so I cannot speak to the waterproofing, but I doubt it is–maybe water resistant.
