BISSELL® CrossWave® Cordless Max multi-surface cleaner combines tasks, vacuuming and washing at the same time, so you save time. The 36V lithium-ion battery provides up to 30 minutes of cordless cleaning power*, so you can move throughout your home without being tied to an outlet. Its multi-surface cleaning capabilities let you switch from cleaning sealed hard floors to refreshing area rugs in an instant. CrossWave® Cordless Max multi-surface cleaner also features improved edge cleaning** to clean messes like pet hair along baseboards and in corners. Two-Tank Technology keeps clean and dirty water separate, so unlike mopping, only clean water and formula go on your floor. When you’re finished cleaning, the self-cleaning cycle cleans the brush roll and inside of the machine, so there’s less clean-up after cleaning. It comes with 2 Multi-Surface Trial Formulas, 2 Hard Floor Sanitize Trial Formulas, and 2 Multi-Surface Brush Rolls. It also helps save pets! So, things were pretty grubby, I will admit. I got really tired of fighting my ill-balanced dyson animal vac, my ecovacs kept dying when my housemate’s long hair would get tangled, and the various mops I had with washable pads were just not easy to use. Especially as a small woman with rheumatoid arthritis! Then I got this thing… and now I’m on a cleaning tear!Pros:Not having the cord is fabulous. And the machine clearly indicates in ten minute intervals how much charge is left so you can plan ahead. I know that half an hour isn’t very long, but it is more than enough for my small house.Convenient start. It is pretty easy to set up to run each time. You pop in one of the two brush rollers (so yesterday’s can finish drying, yes you too may be inspired to give this a quick run around your high traffic areas daily), add the brush cover and the dirty water tank, add the clean water and cleaner and off you go. Everything clicks into place in a satisfying manner.Lightweight and quiet. For a vacuum, I’d say it is pretty quiet. And somehow the noise it makes bothers me less. The noise of the old vac was really something I hated. When full of water it has some weight to it, obviously, but not a ton beyond that and the handles are good.Easy to operate. There are a few things to get used to and remember, but it is easy enough to master. The trigger for more clean water is effortless to press and hold ao your fingers don’t cramp. The buttons are easy and decently placed, though I kinda wish the rug/hard floor button was not so easy to hit instead of power, but it isn’t like that hurts much. Most of the parts come apart and go back on easily even for arthritic hands, though the roller cover was a bit stiff and might have been tricky if I was having a bad flare. It seems to be getting a bit easier over time.Storing after use is easy. You put it on the dock and hit a button and it will wash the roller for you. Then you pop that and the air filter out of it and put those in the provided rack to dry. Pour the satisfyingly revolting water down the toilet and rinse the tank and let it dry. Let it charge for tomorrow. The cleaner is not bad. You are limited to their cleaner, but it does not have a strong odor and doesn’t make me sneeze. I think after your initial few cleans you could easily skimp on or skip the cleaner for most maintenance.Suction is great. I only have hard floors, but this vac will pick up anything but ridiculously large or heavy debris. It is fantastic at cleaning up cat puke/hairballs. With a bit of finesse, it leaves the floor nearly dry, similar to damp mopping. So far (1month) I have no problems with pet or long, wirey human hair clogging it or getting excessively stuck on the roller. I would say it replaces a normal vac though I do keep a small hand vac with a nozzle for tight spaces.Cons and tips:Filter amnesia. Somehow, I found I kept forgetting to put the air filter back in which would result dirty water on the floor and it not drying the floor. I ‘fixed’ this by drying/storing the filter in top of the tank, not in the rack where I tended not to see it.Edges are not perfect. Although going nose-in to an edge improves performance there is still a strip it doesn’t get. I just plan to let the robot vacuum get that and swipe it with a damp rag when needed.Streaks. On a very, very smooth floor you can see some streaks when the light is just right. I think using distilled water might help if you are super fussy about that, but I’m just happy that the floor is soooo much cleaner than with a normal vac or mop.Weird post-cleaning ritual. After running the brush cleaning cycle the instructions tell you to wipe the water out of the charger tray and they say this is to avoid corroding the contacts. This makes zero sense because those contacts are waaaay up in the handle. I suspect the manual was written to a beta model with the contacts on the tray. Anyhow, lifting it out of the tray and wiping then leaves you with a spot to wipe on your floor where the vac rested for this. Seems a silly oversight after making such an otherwise well-working product.Doesn’t get under. Although it swivels nicely from side to side the vac does not ‘lay down’ as much as some others for getting under furniture. Again, I plan to mostly let the robot deal with those areas and occasionally shuffle furniture to get under the middle of the bed, etc. I’d rate that feature as a ‘C’ as it is OK, but not great.Be sure to leave a few minutes charge on the machine to run the brush cleaner. If it is completely dead, you can’t perform that operation. Not a big deal if you pay a little attention, but you don’t want to forget and have things get moldy. The brush is very gentle. This is a good thing and a bad thing. It is very easy on your floors, but if your house, like mine, started out pretty dirty it may take a few iterations to really get all the gunk. Likewise, I have some wood floors that are very old and worn with bad crevices and I found I needed to scrub them a bit with a stiff brush and some of the diluted bissel cleaner before using the bissel, but this was unusual circumstances and a one-time deeper clean.Just buy it already! I hate cleaning, but this thing is kinda fun!

My house is 100% hard floor: tile, hardwood, and ceramic. I HATE having dirt on the floor. I have a small, short-haired dog who brings dirt in, because my backyard is mainly dirt. My health is not the best, and don’t have a lot of strength and/or stamina. That is why I purchased the cordless model.Power seems adequate for cleaning my floors with one charge, though, I often just clean part of the house, and leave the rest for another go.Machine is heavier and more difficult to turn than I would like. Usint it for a short time is exhausting! I love the self-cleaning feature. Luckily, I live in a very climate, so drying out the brush roller and tank is not a problem, if done immediately after use.The vacuum suction is inadequate. Will not pick up light, dust or chewed up foam (left from dog chewing up toys, mostly my toys)!Very quiet for all that it is doing. Does a pretty good job at vacuum/mopping up dirt from the yard, that dog brings in.I am considering purchasing a robot vacuum/mop, but they are very pricey, and hard to pack back up, if not satisfied with performance.Cleaning the dirty water takes a bit of effort, but so does cleaning a mop bucket. I like that the dirty water tank has a strainer that holds most of the debris. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty, after changing diapers for years, get used to it!Some people have mentioned the clean water tank leaks. There is a trick to putting the cap on correctly, press the cap in place, then turn the outside till very tight. Turn tank over while still at the sink to ensure that tank will not leak.It was problematic putting the brush roller cover back on, until I figured out that it needs to connect from the front, then clicked into place. The Wi-Fi capability could be greatly improved. I do not have sight to read the display, but could use my phone to set and check issues. A simple tone-based system would help for indicating the settings, as I cannot use the features of setting it for hard floor only, or knowing. Amount of charge left. Designers need to include people with little or no vision when planning output considerations. It is really simple.

Bissell lives up to its name yet again. I’m a bit extra when it comes to my floor cleanliness and I’m in love. It’s like a carpet cleaner and a mop had a baby. With the same effort of vacuuming I have a beautifully clean hard floor. I knew my floors were a bit gross (for my liking) with a new puppy and finally caved to get this thing. Two tanks of nearly black water later and I’m grateful. I’m confident this can help me tlc the floors of my busy house. What I love:- It’s cordless and I can do all my hard floors on one charge- The self-cleaning function works really well- Very user friendly- Water tank is small enough it can be filled in bathroom sink- The little stand for the mop roller is perfect to let it air dry- Spare mop roller is a nice little addition- Small bottles of cleaner are a great sample. I can confirm it comes with two sanitizer and two multi- surface cleaner- Works on hard wood and tile, including the grout!!!- Light weight and very maneuverable, confident my 9 year old could comfortably useDislikes:- Haven’t found any yet 🥰

  4. Amazon Customer

Wish Amazon had sent me what I ordered 🤷‍♀️I was pretty excited when I received the cross wave vacuum. Unfortunately I ordered a cordless vacuum and got one with a cord. I own a large home and the thought of using a vacuum with a cord compared to a cordless was disappointing. I packed it up and had every intention of sending it back but I kept getting the nagging feeling I might get another vacuum with a cord regardless, because I have no control over what happens. It seemed like a rather large hassle with the possibility of a poor outcome so I unpacked it and am now using it.Having said all that I do find it an amazing vacuum. It’s a bit heavier than I thought it would be but it does a fantastic job! I can’t do my stairs because I find it heavy and awkward so I just do my main floor with it and use a smaller lighter vacuum to do the upstairs. Now once a week I’ll haul that sucker upstairs, to wash those floors. I’m not going to spend all that money and not use it but i was hoping the vacuum would be a bit lighter. The cord is long so that helps.I guess at the end of the day it’s certainly not perfect for the price. but it DOES do a good job! So for that I’m thankful.

NON RETURNABLE – Don’t purchase if you have pets?Does it work? Yes. But if you have pets the hair gets clumped together and shoots out the front of the vacuum. Then you just end up mopping the floor with dirty hair clumps instead of the mop. Bissell won’t honour a refund because it was purchased from Amazon. Amazon won’t take it back and says to contact Bissell. So disappointed. Buy it from Bissell directly if you want to try it so at least you can return it.

  6. Martin d.

BUYERS BEWARE! This is an NON returnable item and it is NOT a carpet cleaner!Beware that this VERY expensive vacuum and electrical mop (because that is mostly what it is) is NOT a carpet cleaner, not even for area rugs! It requires you to purchase an additional accessory (not included) to be able to clean carpets, and even with it, it DOES NOT WASH THEM, it just “refreshes” them (whatever that is). I paid almost 700 cad for the US version, aiming to own a carpet cleaner that was close to what professional machines do (as it is announced), and it does nothing like that. Nowhere in the description of the product it states that you cannot return this to Amazon, now I am stuck with a 700 cad electrical mop and vacuum. With half that money, I could have bought a vacuum/mop robot, which would do exactly this. It also continuously leaves chunks of wet dirt behind, both when cleaning hardwood floors and rugs, and Amazon will just refer you to the manufacturer (if I had wanted to deal with Bissell, I would have bought it directly in their website for a little less money… the only reason why I bought it from Amazon is precisely as I believed I would be protected by Amazon’s policies and service. I was wrong.

  7. Richard J. Rusyn

Dogs and More DogsDogs go out they come in. Instead of mopping and smearing the dirt they leave behind I began to use this machine. Does a great job to clean the floors. Only thing after wards is to clean the machine itself. All good.

  8. Rafael Cabello

EXELENTE producto. Para la gente que no le gusta trapear.Es el primer día que lo uso, y me gusta mucho. No es ruidoso. Trapea muy bien. Y es fácil de limpiar. De muy buena calidad.
